CBS News has an article stating that Vermont's only Nuclear Power Station, Vermont Yankee, is leaking radio active material into the ground water. Environmentalists clam this is caused by deteriorating underground pipes, even when this site does not have underground pipes.

So if the site does not have the ability to leak water from pipes it does not have, where does the added trace material come from?

The Northeast US, Vermont and New Hampshire have thick granite for their bedrock. Granite naturally contains trace amounts of uranium, radon, and other radioactive material. Sometimes these levels exceed safe levels in your home just from your kitchen counter tops. So much so that the EPA has issued a warning to their safety.

Do you think people who say that radio active material can come only from a nuclear power plant are being disingenuous, misleading, and down right fraudulent to further their own agenda when in fact they are aware that people are exposed to radiation that is natural?

Or are these people eco-luddites who would rather see people living in caves?
